Appliances like electric stove are one of the heating appliances which contain heating elements like resistors. The resistors convert electrical energy to light and thermal energy. The amount of heat produce from the electricity depends on the resistance of the material.
Examples of appliances which use electricity to produce thermal energy are electric rice cooker, stove, toasters, dryers, flatirons and percolators.
